The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Stakeholder relationships management:
    • Identify, develop and establish relationships with relevant stakeholders;
    • Facilitate and co-ordinate project activities as mandated by the project leader, and ensure that specific action plans are developed and implemented;
    • Manage all relationships with the various project team members, and ensure that they are kept informed on all the project milestones;
  • Logistical management of events:
    • Oversee and coordinate the logistical arrangements of events, including training sessions/workshops/seminars/webinars/gala-awards ceremonies as and when necessary;
    • Manage and ensure that all correspondence related to events organisation reaches all the relevant stakeholders;
  • General management, planning and administration of the fellowship program:
    • Provide continuous administrative support for the programme;
    • Compile all necessary program documentation prior, during, and after completion of projects;
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare high quality, timely, and coherent narrative reports, and assists with financial reports for all projects in the program;
    • Contribute to regular reporting on project activities to the Project Leader, Director and donors/funders;
    • Submit donor/funder reports and deal with compliance questions or project challenges;
  • Financial administration support:
    • Provide general financial administration to support the fellowship program;
    • Keep records of all financial transactions and approvals in terms of policy;
    • Manage and administer all the payments to service providers providing services for the programme;
  • Programme communication management:
    • Assist with the development of material regarding the programme and fellows for further dissemination;
    • Actively maintain the Future Africa web-portal related to the program and the fellowship;
    • Coordinate all media engagement via various channels including those of Future Africa, the University of Pretoria, and external stakeholders;
  • Project and change management:
    • Manage all projects for the Programme. This includes the initiation, facilitation, coordination, negotiation, project planning, budgeting, monitoring, decision-making, follow up, implementation of corrective action, risk identification, investigation of alternative options. The University of Pretoria (Afrikaans: Universiteit van Pretoria, Northern Sotho: Yunibesithi ya Pretoria) is a multi-campus public research university[20][21] in Pretoria, the administrative and de facto capital of South Africa.[22] The university was established in 1908 as the Pretoria campus of the Johannesburg-based Transvaal University College and is the fourth South African institution in continuous operation to be awarded university status. The University is organised into nine faculties and a business school.
