Job Specification…

  • Develop remuneration guidelines to assist Human Resources and Line Manager remuneration guidelines.
  • Implement annual reward review initiatives
  • Compile compo ratios at the request of the HR team for recruitment.
  • Keep abreast of market trends within the Remuneration function.
  • Conduct continuous market comparisons to ensure the correctness/fairness of Cell C’s remuneration packages.
  • Identify and benchmark remuneration practices and processes.
  • Monitor the staff turnover rate with regards to remuneration issues.
  • Highlight remuneration variances and anomalies for positions that are currently paid above and below bands.
  • Ensure the staff benefits are in line with the market expectations and propose appropriate improvements.
  • Participate in focus groups
  • Liaise and network with external survey companies.
  • Network with the Lead Specialist OD with regards to job matching and job-related surveys as requested
  • Ensure accurate information is extracted and submitted to survey companies.
  • Source vendors as requested.
  • Resolve remuneration queries.
  • Participate in various projects, both internal and external including classification and salary surveys and policy research as assigned.
  • Conduct research and provide input on the annual mandate increase document for REMCO
  • Participate in the development and design of reports to be produced by the System.
  • Ensure proper procedure and up to date, signed-off documentation in report development are adhered to.
  • Ensure the integrity of information collected, stored, shared or reported on

Budget Analytics

  • Prepare the Annual budgets for approval by Cell C Board
  • Prepare year on year budget analytics as part of input to the budgeting process
  • Meet and liaise with Exco members to gather input for their respective Business Units to be submitted as part of the annual budget process
  • Perform monthly analysis to measure actual Financial results versus budget and prepare quantitative and qualitative monthly management reports for Manco and Exco
  • Provide guidance to divisional Chiefs on possible measures to mitigate risk areas of overspend
  • Update HR Financial dashboards and workshop the information to HR team to ensure the HR business processes are aligned with budget commitments and Remuneration strategy
  • Research and develop relevant measurable remuneration and benefits metrics

Remuneration Policy and Legislative Compliance

  • Inform management of policy changes and recommend modifications to policies where necessary.
  • Ensure policies are constantly aligned to all legislative changes.
  • Ensure policies are in line with the South African Revenue Services requirements.

Report Generation

  • Extract sensitive and highly confidential reports from ERP and convert them to Excel.
  • Prepare monthly report to the EXCO on headcount, HR statistics
  • Report budget vs actual remuneration metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare monthly Financial reconciliations and Headcount KPIs for Finance consolidated Board pack
  • Ensure the integrity of information collected, stored, shared or reported on.
  • Ensure metrics are available to Chief HR Officer and Other Exco members for reference
  • Develop and compile any other ad-hoc reports on  reward management data as requested from time to time

Minimum Requirements…

  • Relevant Post-graduate Degree – NQF 8 level – HR, economics or statistics as a major.
  • Global Remuneration Professional advantageous
  • SARA association – advantageous

Experience

  • 5 + years’ experience in a corporate remuneration and rewards division.
  • Proposing, designing and implementing a total reward strategy
  • Performance management
  • Research skills and experience is essential
  • Preparing reports for REMCO and EXCO as well as the board of directors
  • Advanced Experience on Excel
  • Highly proficient in Power Point
